How does OpenSky work?

OpenSky is populated by Shopkeepers, real people who sell what they love with passion and a point of view.

We connect our Shopkeepers with our Suppliers to fill their Shops with extraordinary products they love.

Shopkeepers tell the world about the products in their OpenSky Shops, and share OpenSky with their family, friends, and followers. OpenSky HQ takes care of the legwork: product sourcing, fulfillment, delivery, and customer service and marketing.

Why did we start OpenSky?

We created OpenSky to bring relationship commerce to every person on the planet.

What are the most important values of people who work at OpenSky?

Who chooses which products are listed in each OpenSky shop?

Each OpenSky Shop is managed by a single Shopkeeper who handpicks every product that appears there.

Why aren't more products listed in the OpenSky shops?

Our Shopkeepers carry only the products they love and believe are the very best, so you won't see many of the common items carried by big box retailers.

I sell a product that I think would interest the OpenSky audience. How can I place it in the OpenSky stores?

We're always looking for high-quality, innovative products. Every product sold in an OpenSky Shop must be endorsed by one of our Shopkeepers and we'd be glad to make an introduction. Contact customerservice@theopenskyproject.com and tell us all about your products and which Shopkeepers you think it might appeal to and we'll take care of the rest.

Who fulfills orders from OpenSky shops?

OpenSky HQ works with distributors, vendors and manufacturers to deliver an order once it is placed.

Does OpenSky ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship to the United States and Canada. However, soon this will change, as our Shopkeepers have audiences around the world! Learn more about our shipping and delivery policies here.

How can I contact Shopkeepers if I have a question about a product?

Shopkeepers' contact information is posted on each page of their Shop on the left-hand side. Every OpenSky product also has a dedicated discussion where you can post your questions and feedback for Shopkeepers, manufacturers and other customers.

Who handles customer service?

OpenSky HQ handles all customer service inquiries. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Is it safe to shop at OpenSky?

Absolutely. We've earned the TrustE certification for safeguarding users' privacy and Authorize.net "Verified Merchant" status for delivering secure payment transactions. We maintain the highest standards of security and privacy for our customers.

Can I order an OpenSky product over the phone?

Yes. Just call us at 877-734-OPEN and we'll take your order.

Can I trust OpenSky Shopkeepers?

OpenSky carefully reviews and selects Shopkeepers based on their demonstrated influence and expertise. We've done your homework to ensure that you get the best products available from people who know what they're talking about.

What if I don't like what I've bought?

OpenSky guarantees everything we sell for 365 days. All returns, exchanges and cancellations are handled directly through OpenSky, so if you're unhappy with your purchase you can return it for a full refund - without any conditions. Email us at customerservice@theopenskyproject.com to learn more.

My item is sold out! How can I be notified the next time it comes back in stock?

Unfortunately, sometimes uncommon goods have limited quantities. Contact us and we'll notify you when we restock it.

Why should I become a Shopkeeper?

OpenSky will provide you with the tools necessary to better connect with your audience, extend your brand, create a Shop that is uniquely "you", drive traffic and earn money. You'll have full control over which products appear in your shop and earn 50% of the net profits on whatever you sell.

How much does it cost to become an OpenSky Shopkeeper?

Shopkeepers are not charged for partnering with OpenSky. However, we expect all Shopkeepers to share our passion and only those Shopkeepers who are both dedicated and engaged are successful. Additionally, all Shopkeepers are required to sign an OpenSky shopkeeper agreement and participate in a careful review by our Shopkeeper Activation Team.

How do OpenSky Shopkeepers make money?

OpenSky HQ shares the profit for each product sold in an OpenSky Shop with the Shopkeeper.

Does OpenSky collect sales tax?

State laws require companies to collect sales tax from residents shipping merchandise to states where OpenSky has established offices. Currently OpenSky charges sales tax to NY, RI and NC residents only.
